Students who wish to take as elective courses which do not appear in the list of recommended courses should present a formal request to the Curriculum Committee. The request, which should be emailed to Prof. Giulio Diale (firstname.lastname@example.org), should include the complete curriculum envisioned by the student (including mandatory courses), including all the elective courses that the student is asking authorization for, and it should provide a rationale for the choice of the specific electives in the context of the planned curriculum. (Language courses will not be approved as part of the standard course-load of 120 credits, but they can be taken for extra credit). The Curriculum Committee will evaluate such requests as they are received and notify the student of its decision usually within 14 days.
